My visited states are mostly northern states, not too surprising for a Canuck I suppose. The only part of Texas I visited was the inside of Houston airport. I have fond memories of a decent food court, so it stays on the list. Canadian version included...I should visit the territories sometime.

Les Rouges won a World Cup match for the first time! And 6-0 even! The only thing that would make this Canadian bear happier would be if FIFA would finally allow us ursines to compete in the beautiful game...

Bear with a soccer ball...the fact that he's touching it with his forepaws, right in front of the referee, makes me suspect that he's not trained at a World Cup level yet.

An impaired driver struck a tree in our front yard yesterday afternoon. Thankfully nobody was in our yard at the time and no one was hurt. While driving to work on the highway this morning, a metal bar flew off the truck in front of me and almost hit my car. Why are so many drivers idiots?

Humans get so upset when they see a bear in their cities, but it's not my fault that hunger forces me to leave my home to travel into urban areas. The only chinese restaurant in my rural community recently closed, so of course I have to head into town for take-out. What other choice do I have?

While driving to work this morning, I see that the local ice cream stand's mascot is back up for the season. I know where I'll be stopping on the drive home.

When I bought my car, the dealership gave me the VIN for the wrong car...and I sent that information to my insurance company. So, since 2020 I've been paying insurance on a car I don't own while my car has been uninsured. Last week's car accident has become more complicated.

After 14 months of a reasonable diet and exercise, I've lost the weight I wanted to lose and I'm feeling better. Even though I now look less ursine and more ottery (sorry, I can't use the word lutrine...it's just one typo away from latrine), I'll try my best to continue to project bear vibes here.

I highly recommend watching the speech Prime Minister Carney gave at the World Economic Forum today. Damn fine speech. Listening to him stand up to the threat America poses to us, to Greenland/Denmark and to our other allies left me feeling proudly patriotic 🇨🇦.

While visiting my family in B.C. I came across this business in Chemainus with the best roof I've ever seen.
