Oracle Database Free 23.8 is now available Get it at www.oracle.com/database/fre... This has a neat tweak if you're getting poor row estimates for PL/SQL in SQL: Enhanced dynamic stats for PL/SQL in FROM & WHERE This can be particularly useful for estimating pipelined table functions

Dynamic stats for PL/SQL functions (23.8)
Improve row estimates for PL/SQL functions in SQL with dynamic stats
By default row estimates for pipelined table functions are poor

Dynamic stats for PL/SQL functions (23.8)
Improve row estimates for PL/SQL functions in SQL with dynamic stats
With dynamic PL/SQL stats in 23.8, get accurate row estimates for pipelined functions

In this new world, if you're not around the table, you're on the menu. If China, Russia, US are allowed to decide Europe's future, our future won't be ours. European leaders...lead! on.ft.com/3CQFzlI

Who will defend Europe?

Caught between an aggressive Russia and a disengaging America, the continent’s western democracies must now rearm — or pay the price

I’m in Munich and people keep asking me to decode Vance’s speech. OK: In Vance English “free speech” means “Let Musk run your elections” and “democracy” means “let Russia run your elections.” Now move on. 2025 is about what Europeans do, not what Americans say.

You may or may not have seen it but a good part of the tech community, especially dealing with Oracle technology or tech generally, has moved on now. And actually I did just the same. So, The Sky is Blue from now on! What does it mean? I use so-called social media for two reasons mostly. At first, I would like to stay in touch with friends, colleagues and customers.
