I fully appreciate that the Acadian francophones can all pronounce my name. The Quebecois take one look at my name and think it's an insult to their feelings. I'm an anglophone québécoise living in Ontario but working in the Acadian Peninsula.

They are about 5-10 minutes away from a small city or larger town with real food. But I work in a town (remotely, I visit 4 times a year) that basically only has Café Tropical and it closes at 6:30 pm.

Also in the actual town it's in there is a supermarket and the Rose Apothecary is across the street from the external sets of Bob's Garage AND Café Tropical.

I know it's mid-September but I already started looking for new winter boots. I'm pretty annoyed that there are few options with zippers this year. My mobility isn't what it used to be and that feature really helps get them on and off. I live in Canada after all.

I find processing boletes annoying, I just like spotting them. I found some chanterelles but they were very buggy. Sometimes it's just fine finding things without picking.

I grilled a spatchcocked Portuguese marinade chicken over the campfire yesterday with sweet potatoes, hakurei turnips and radishes. It was amazing and torture while it was cooking.

I tossed it into a stir fry with lots of other veggies, some tofu, and Ipoh Ipoh sauce. I don't think it's my favourite veggie but it was a good texture.
