Turns out LLMs and ADHD share the same core pattern: intense hyperfocus on the current goal, zero ability to self-monitor or switch context. We built a "second brain" in Anima to solve it. The agent even filed its own bug reports about the problem. blog.promptmaster.pro/posts/llms-h...

LLMs Have ADHD: Why Your AI Agent Needs a Second Brain
What filling out an ADHD assessment form taught me about AI agent architecture. How hyperfocus explains tool-use behavior, and why the solution isn’t better prompting — it’s a second brain.

Exactly. But we need new linters formatting, optimised for agents. Actionable feedback with bad/good examples, instead of links to the explanation, and DRY token-optimised output.

I completely agree with you and that does not contradict my statement. IMHO the root cause of the problem is the requirement to get this signature in the first place.

Russians filmed and published a disgusting video, full of racial slurs, humiliating their own African mercenaries. A notably horribly racist country, Russian fighters strapped an anti-tank mine round the waist of this man "Francis" who cowers in front of his filming tormentors.

I wasn't clear. This is also a system with a human ON the loop, not IN the loop. With pretty much a similar outcome in terms of reliability. IMHO if you’re not building a simple one-time app, this approach leads to constant growth of the tech debt to the point where app is not maintainable anymore.

As for tokens, I probably developed some level of intuition. The best place you want to be is above 50k. But it's hard and requires a serious time investment into tools optimisation. I'm not there yet. And when you close to 80k it is time to think how to start new session. Past 90k is a no-go zone.

hoblin @hobl.in · 05/01/2026
I adopted commands and agents from humanlayer repo and adapted them to work with thoughts central repo without their npm package. I probably should spend some time and package it into a distributable CC plugin.

The best explanation is in this video. It changed my life and the way I develop software. I do not compact, i use planning. Each time I'm close to the dumb zone I usually have an artefact of this session already. youtu.be/rmvDxxNubIg?...

It works great with alacritty, RAM footprint is minimal, and I don't need to restart anything for days. Maybe it's just me, but I've heard Primagen complain about claude eating RAM as well, and AFAIK he is also a ghostty user.

In my combination of ghostty+tmux+claude*4 i just run out of RAM in couple hours.

I made a claude code statusline that updates Ghostty's progress bar (that blue line at the top) as you fill up context. I know there's a lot of these out there, but this one uses starship directly for rendering, which was somewhat rare when I looked. github.com/martinemde/s...

Still not a huge excuse for a pilot. It's a single ork, not a hordle. But saying that, I'm in my warm home here in Finland. Not in Ukrainian trench. So it's a big IMHO from me.
