One way I know that thinking uses energy is that I experience PEM (post-exertional malaise) after doing it intensely. Walking and thinking used to be two of my favorite things to do. Now I crash after either. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is such a thieving bitch.

Remembering on this day Sister Rosetta Tharpe 🎸 Tharpe is among the first Chicago blues musicians to play the electric guitar (Wiki.) Her guitar-playing technique had a profound influence on the development of British #blues touring Europe around 1957 and with Muddy Waters in the 1960s. #bluesmusic

Could a few (hundred) more Dem electeds pleade grow a spine and speak the truth about these fascist racist weirdos? If this dude can do it in the South--to the fascist's face, no less--they all could, if they were as dedicated to justice as they are to corporate fundraising...

Remind me? Did the UCP mention this in its election platform?
Bill 11 implementation

Bill 11 (the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2025, No. 2) introduces coverage protections and changes to how drug and supplemental benefits plans are coordinated in Alberta.

Currently, the government is considered the first payor. This means that when an Albertan is enrolled in a government-sponsored drug and supplemental benefits plan, specifically Coverage for Seniors or Non-Group Coverage, that plan is the first payor, even if the Albertan also has a private or employer-sponsored drug and supplemental benefits plan.

Bill 11 changes this by introducing two core changes to the Coverage for Seniors and Non-Group Coverage programs:

Government becomes payor of last resort: Private-sponsored drug and supplemental benefits plans would become the first payor for individuals who have them, with government-sponsored drug and supplemental benefits plans acting as a safety net, providing coverage when no other coverage is available or available coverage has been exhausted. With this bill, government-sponsored drug and supplemental benefits plans will act as a safety net rather than first payor, ensuring financial responsibility is shared across the system. This helps protect resources while maintaining access to coverage for those who need it most. Government programs will continue to provide coverage to all eligible beneficiaries.
Protection for employees aged 65+: Employers will no longer be able to terminate, reduce or modify drug and supplemental health benefits solely because a plan member has reached a certain age.
These changes will come into force on October 1, 2026. Additional information is available at the following link: https://www.ab.bluecross.ca/pdfs/bill-11-Implementation-reference-guide-and-faq.pdf.

ICYMI - globalnews.ca/news/1202824...
Of the two First Nations, Tallcree was the first to challenge Rath’s stewardship of its trust and later shared evidence with Sturgeon Lake.

Tallcree challenged millions’ worth of Rath’s legal and administrative fees, but its central allegation is that Rath misappropriated the $8.5-million contingency fee refund meant for the beneficiaries of its trust.

On Nov. 17, 2025, 12 days after a court order required Rath to refund the Tallcree trust, court-filed banking records show Rath instead deposited it into a Bow Valley Credit Union account for his professional corporation, opened that same day.

Rath immediately bought $8 million of bullion from a Calgary company called Silver Gold Bull Inc. and purchased a $500,000 bank draft bearing his name.

Court records show that Rath, in an email, had suggested he was entitled to the trust money, despite earlier King’s Bench and Court of Appeal decisions.

No newspaper that operates under even basic journalism standards should consider publishing anything from someone like Peter Navarro. This again raises the question of why the American-owned PostMedia receives funding from Canadian taxpayers.

This is a dangerous and irresponsible response. Cheering the illegal abduction of a foreign head of state and celebrating U.S. control over another country is wrong. Canada cannot pick & choose when international law applies. If the rules only matter when it’s convenient, they don’t protect anyone
