Fjord is back home, eating and sitting in laps. Will have to dome drip subcutaneous fluids every so often moví forward. Very sad and scary to know his kidneys are doing him wrong. Will do what I can to make sure he’s comfy and cared for, until he says so.

good as time as ever to let people know I am obsessed with tamagotchi. I have one of every version of them that’s come out since 1998, sans the rare/expensive ones and including a lot of the older Japanese color screen ones. they are one of my favorite things

I’ve been taking so many flower pictures. Maybe I will upload them to my website some time with their names. I think these are euphorbia, a type of spurge?? You can see CA poppies scattered through the dense bushy growths. Spurges, I believe, are not native to Berkeley

Name's Héctor! I'm a PhD candidate who studies the structure and function of photosensitive ion channels. I also use strategic, inclusive, and evidence based approaches to communicate science. I've a vested interest in increasing science literacy amongst queer and Spanish-speaking communities.

Hopped off a call with one of my undergraduate research mentors and suddenly feel ten times lighter. I hope to be that relief for others as well.
