Pretty good tarmac sunset in Seattle on the way home last night.

An interesting thing about the monk parakeets in Barcelona is that the city monitors their movements, but the birds kept removing any rings on put on their legs with their strong beaks, so now lots of them wear these huge tags on collars around their necks like dogs. 🪶

I just saw these guys in the wild for the first time! Amazing birds.

Someone here has converted recycling bins into feral cat houses. Pretty cute! I started to walk toward these cats and the one in the foreground hissed at me while looking like it had three types of rabies so, no pets.

We're supposed to check out of our Barcelona hotel and move to a smaller town on the coast about an hour away today. The trains there are no longer running and the audio of this weather alert also said to stay away from *streets* 🙃

Last time we visited Barcelona, we had no idea you could be up in the Pyrenees in about an hour from the city. They really have everything here: Beaches, mountains, parrots, and very excellent ham.

I thought surely those hideous AI food menus that get reshared like crazy are extreme examples rarely seen in the wild, and then, yesterday, we came across this.
