Two keys. The ballot comes with instructions to fill it out. Follow them. Don’t do any more or any less than instructed. Second don’t hang onto it. Fill it out and return it as soon as you can. There is no need to hold onto the ballot until the last minute.

Everyone might have a different experience. But my ballot arrived on 9/28. I filled it out and followed the directions for returning it and put it in the mail on 9/30. On 10/2, I got an email letting me know that Allegheny County had received my ballot. So in my case, as least, the system worked.

Consumers paid tariffs on products Apple sold us. Apple received refunds for those tariffs, about 2.2 billion dollars. However Apple does not appear to be returning those tariffs to the consumers who paid them. But they are raising our rates.

What’s especially falling is today Apple told me they’re raising my subscription rate. So I paid the tariff, they got the refund and now they’re raising my rates.

Exactly. Ask for a table for one. If there’s a bar, don’t let them guilt you into sitting at it. If you want a table, insist on it. Enjoy your meal, but don’t linger unnecessarily. It will feel weird at first, but you’ll get used to it. There is nothing wrong with eating alone at a table.

Don’t buy too many containers of any one type. Cats can count and each has a threshold for the acceptable number of containers of any one food that is acceptable. If you exceed it they will no longer eat any of that food. This is hard earned (and expensive) experience.

It is better here in Pittsburgh, PA. We had three days of very high smoke levels resulting from wildfires in both the state of Minnesota and the Provinces of Ontario. But today we had breezes and storms and the air has cleared. Also the temperature came down to a more comfortable level.

How will it go over? People who believe in science will take it and go on with their lives. People who don’t believe in science won’t get it and will still be subject to contacting Lyme disease and if they do will get sick and complain that science didn’t protect them when it was too late.

I think it’s important to read for enjoyment. Too many people set a goal and reading becomes a chore instead of something to enjoy. And once it becomes a chore it’s easy to stop doing it.
