Turned off autocorrect on my iPhone today. It’s gotten to the point where it creates more errors than it fixes. Maybe instead of introducing more products with flawed software like autocorrect, Apple should just take a year to fix the software they have out there that doesn’t work.

Lots of people worried about losing electrical power due to the upcoming storm. As you race to the store to buy emergency groceries, consider your appliances. How will you cook the eggs you buy if the electric stove doesn’t work? Also many modern gas stoves have electronic controls. Shop wisely.

Simple things parents could do to make things better: 1. Teach their children not to throw trash in the street when walking home from an event. 2. Use deodorant. If you think they’re too young, they are not. 3. If you have sons prevent them from using Axe Body Spray. Easy-peasy.

@governor.pa.gov I wish you’d educate the politicians in this state that when we get texts with links in them from numbers we don’t recognize we’re told to ignore them. Personally, I block and report them as they’re likely scammers. Do politicians not read news or are they just scammers or both?

Some excitement at my house today. I was in the sun room, reading when there was a bang and all the birds, squirrels and chipmunks scattered. A hawk dove in on the hunt. Unsuccessful first strike, but it hung around for a while. Eventually it gave up and left. No one got caught and eaten today.

Seeing lots of headlines about all the cool things Apple is going to introduce with iOS19. Reminds me of the excitement they built up last year for iOS18 and Apple Intelligence and we can see how well that worked out. They need to add a disclaimer like “if we can figure out how to make it work”.

The NFL free agency period means different things to Steelers fans. First you’re upset because they didn’t sign any of the decent quarterbacks that were available when they have an empty QB room. Then you’re just hoping they don’t sign Aaron Rodgers.
