Finally read Five Little Indianas by Michelle Good. 👀 📚 💙

Five Little Indians follows the lives of 5 indigenous peoples after they escaped or were released from residential schools in Canada where they experienced horrific abuse as children.
They are dropped in the middle of Vancouver with little money or belongings, virtually no knowledge of life outside of the residential school, and no idea how to reunite with their families. With no counseling, they must all deal with their trauma in their own way.
This book is absolutely tragic and heartbreaking, but there are some hopeful bright spots throughout. As difficult as it was to read this book, I think it is an important read.

Heck yeah! I sewed 7 book sleeves today! Almost TWICE what I normally sew! I think that brings me to a total of 96 sleeves sewn. I’m going to try to get a handful of bookmarks sewn up, too, before I call it a night. Please tell me you’re proud of me 😅 🪡 🧶

Book 3 was a reread of Dungeon Crawler Carl. This cover has a LOT going on! I went for white and red for Carl’s boxers and a tortoiseshell eyelash yarn for Princess Donut. In hindsight, using the new covers would have been easier! This ended up a little chaotic, but it matches the cover, right? 💙📚👀🧶

A couple of years ago I thought my youngest was getting into Adventure Time, so I bought this pink BMO Nintendo Switch holder. She didn’t end up really getting into the show, so it’s been in my closet this whole time. I love BMO, so I can claim it for myself now, right? #adventurerime #bmo 🎮

It looks like an old school handheld gaming system, like the original Gameboy, but it’s pink with anthropomorphic arms and legs. Where the screen would be is an open void giving you room to slide in a Nintendo Switch screen.
