Out today - a new role for MAIT cells. We've shown MAIT cells are antibacterial; antiviral; and promote tissue repair. In this paper from our group we show MAIT cells are recruited and activated to protect tissues in sterile lung injury, and potentially in IPF - enjoy! doi.org/10.1016/j.ce...
