Old-school Essentials has some real sickos.jpg rules for constructing a castle. Here is a simplified method: Print out this page. Each block costs 1,000 gp for basic construction, or 1,500 gp for a furnished section. Arrange to taste.

@thegeekchef.bsky.social wrote an excellent procedure for developing multiple governments, and determining how they relate to eachother. The result is enough to inspire without overloading. I tried my hand at creating a district generation system, as well as some lite nav procedures.

I'm in a rural area with very few players, so getting a steady game together is a challenge. Hence a lot of online games, and growing frustration with VTTs. These days I do android/windows. I've heard good things about Facetime, but the hardware can be a cost barrier for some folks.
