An agent shouldn't need to know where every piece of enterprise context lives. It should know: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘁. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲. That's an architecture problem. Not a prompt problem.

Going to production? Time to move off LiteLLM to something enterprise-grade. agentgateway's new import command converts your LiteLLM config in one step, with a compatibility finding for every field. agentgateway.dev/docs/standal...

What does an agent need from enterprise infrastructure? 𝗔𝗣𝗜𝘀 → capabilities 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 → changes 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 → actions 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 → information 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 → current reality 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 → who is acting 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 → what's allowed 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 → what happened The model is only one piece.

You don't need to replace your enterprise architecture for AI agents. You need to make it agent-ready. APIs. Events. Tools. Data. State. Identity. Policy. o11y. The Context Layer connects these capabilities so agents can actually operate in the enterprise. theagenticarch.com/posts/buildi...

The biggest mistake in agentic architecture might be giving an agent access to 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. More context ≠ better context. The goal should be: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗔𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Context engineering is becoming an architecture problem.

What does an agent actually need? Not just data. APIs tell it what it can ask for. Events tell it what changed. Tools let it act. State tells it where things are. History tells it how they got there. The layer connecting all of that is the Context Layer. theagenticarch.com/posts/agents...

iPaaS Was Built for Applications. Agents Need a Context Layer.
Traditional integration moves data along predetermined paths. Agentic systems need a governed context layer that can be discovered and assembled at runtime.

Enterprise integration was built around moving data between applications. Agents need more than data. They need the right context, at the right time, to decide what to do next. That's why I think agents need a 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 New article: theagenticarch.com/posts/agents...

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗜 Prompt → Model → Response 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗜 Context → Reason → Act → Observe → Context The second loop is where the architecture gets interesting. That's where most of the hard problems begin.

We've spent years building APIs and event infrastructure for applications. Now we're asking those same systems to support agents. That's not a small change.

Everyone wants smarter AI agents. But what if the problem isn't the model? Agents need APIs, events, tools, context, identity, state and observability to actually do useful work. Your agents don't need better models. They need better plumbing. theagenticarch.com/posts/agents...

AI cost dashboards are rear-view mirrors. A runaway agent can burn through a budget before an alert fires. Reserve budget before each model call, then settle on actual usage. Trusted identity makes it enforceable. www.solo.io/blog/buildin...

Exposing Kafka brokers to the internet is a security risk, but data can't stay trapped in a private network. Watch my #CurrentLondon talk on using an Event Gateway as an air-gapped Smart DMZ for real-time PII redaction & access control! 👇 buff.ly/ziqNSlv

Your Kafka cluster shouldn't be your security boundary. Kafka ACLs are great, but they weren't designed to become your security management layer. In my Kong blog, I show how Event Gateway adds centralized authentication, authorization, and governance for Amazon MSK. konghq.com/blog/enginee...

Hot take: Your vector database shouldn't be your agent's only memory system. Vectors are great for semantic retrieval, but agents also need ordering, replayability, and durable history. That's why I think Kafka belongs in the conversation. buff.ly/17eJOMn #AI #Kafka #AgenticAI

Enterprise AI needs an MCP Registry. Now, Gartner validates it: "MCP Registry is not a convenience feature. It is a core infrastructure component." This is why we built enterprise MCP directly into Kong. Don't let agents talk blindly to unmanaged data without a control plane! 🔗 buff.ly/SxhgNlK

Why do AI agents reach out to each other? To handle a task. But fundamentally, they are really just doing two things: 🔍 Retrieving context (fetching missing data) ⚙️ Mutating context (updating system state) Context always comes from Tools, Memory, or other Agents. 🤖 #AI

LangChain’s new LLM Gateway puts governance inside its dev tool, LangSmith. Your auditor is going to have questions. Governance belongs at the network boundary, applied uniformly. Moving it to the dev layer hands the keys to the very people you're supposed to be governing.

We’ve spent decades perfecting APIs and integrations, yet one challenge keeps showing up: context. Without it, even the most advanced systems behave like confident guessers. With it, they become truly intelligent. We need to make context discoverable and usable in real time. 🧵👇
