In a few weeks I'll be swimming back to the "Mermaid Cottage" to see our friends who hosted us last year. It's a unique cottage in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. I imagine it's going to look really beautiful in the fall. Here's the video I made about my visit last year! www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUzs...

I was listening to a true crime podcast that had a quote from the director of a mental health non profit. He pointed out that the weight, labour and cost of studying the negative effects of AI chatbots on teens and kids is falling on non profits. Why aren't these rich AI companies doing them....👀

I'm currently watching the most Canadian and hilarious thing. A bunch of maybe ten year old boys are trying everything in the most cartoonish manner to get a soccer ball that accidentally ended up in a tree. They're all working together in some Wile E Coyote fashion 🤣 some are strangers to eachother

Bit of a weird ask #halifax but if anyone sees a skeleton onesie or shirt that is green instead of white for sale as you come across Halloween stuff, can you let me know? I have this regular white one, but I have this same tail in green instead of white, and want one to match similar.

After nearly 2 decades on the platform my content has gone viral this summer over on Facebook. IT IS WEIRD. Some of it is just lovely comments. Many are ignorant Americans who project everything onto it and/or sexually harass me. How can you spring board off a video about seaweed to that? I dunno

Had a lot of fun at Spiderman, it was entertaining but I somewhere along the line must have missed an important IP. (Maybe punisher?) Good character growth for Peter but film didn't stand out like the last one. Felt like a link in the chain kind of film. Good but not as memorable.

Jacob Hoggart admitted his guilt so all the defenders really needed to apologize to Jessica Baker, his victim. He was found guilty and he's served less than half his sentence and gotten day parole. Ick.

Watched The Odyssey on 70mm and Anne Hathaway does NOT have a frozen face. She looks her age. Her wrinkles are there. Her forehead moves. Her eyelids are droopy. She's extremely emotive. I hate that 1 shot is being compared with a shot from Les Miserables to justify all the online bullying of her.

I livestreamed the Halifax Pride parade and an old lady ran down from the street topless lol right in front of my kid. Who has no issue with boobs so it didn't phase him. But certainly caught me off guard 😆 in all my years going to pride, never had that happen. I don't think she was IN the parade

Totally wiped! I did 400m without stopping and no fins or goggles. Then I did 800m with fins. I did a 10 minute float . All part of my instructor training and assessment. I'm really proud of myself because I am not the best swimmer without fins. But I did it.

In Halifax it's 33 and feels like 43 (109 for the Americans) that is bonkers. We literally went from freezing weather to this so fast. I wish I lived in St Margaret's Bay, I'd be in that water, so fast!

MRIs are being used in Halifax to gatekeep endometriosis care and referrals. Unqualified NPs and MRI techs and gynos with little to no training in endometriosis are ruling patients don't have Endo as it's not seen in MRI. ITS RARELY SEEN ON MRI or ANY imaging! Can only rule it in.

My province just finalized a lunch program for every public school in the entire province. Kids don't need to qualify. Their parents can privately decide if they'll buy or simply have it free. This is additional to the breakfast programs. I dunno why America can't catch up. 🤷 (It's rhetorical)
