South Asians Face Surging Racism in America
Social media posts, including from the Department of Homeland Security and a Texas Republican candidate, have helped stir fear among people of South Asian heritage.
![Hello, my name is [NAME]. I am a constituent from [HOME]. I’m calling to urge Senator [YOUR SENATOR] to vote NO on cloture on the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill for FY 2026, vote NO on the bill itself, and stop any further funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
I’m asking the Senator to stand up for our immigrant communities and ensure the safety of every constituent by refusing to fund ICE and DHS. Thank you.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:gx3mgcpg2hod4qv6ljh2yy7f/bafkreia4hzc6cflirbblt2fadak42hn2fx6hqaeciysatc7ajevjoo5e2q)
