The modern Dutch word for Spain is "Spanje," but you can still find the old form "Hispanje" in a verse of the Dutch national anthem about honouring "den Koning van Hispanje" ("the King of Spain"). #langsky

How do you refer to the internet in your language? Do you use an article or not? Do you write it with a capital letter? It's a word I always mess up in a new language. Even though it's such a simple word, using it in a natural and native way isn't always obvious. #langsky

New book 📚♥️ For the French learners: I'm on page 65 and I find it quite an easy read, so this book is a tip! I have a C1-level and there's only a couple of words per page that I don't know and most of the time their meaning is clear from context. #langsky #booksky

There's often one thing I notice about people who don't have a very good pronunciation in a foreign language (not bad, just not good): they tend to rely on a stereotypical idea of what they think the language should sound like, rather than listening closely to the actual sounds. #langsky
