Come on this is so cool. Live map of airplanes in the area. Passive display is cool. This makes me want an e-ink display to play with tbh.

I bought an old Spotify Car Thing for like $15 when it was getting discontinued years ago. It then got discontinued and I have had this brick by my desk since. Today I had Claude to help me make it into a little touch screen companion for me and I'm chuffed.

Seven segment display partially died in my tower fan. I think it’s unhappy with me.

Yearly(ish, sometimes I forget) post about Rosie because she turned 11 or 77 today depending on your belief system. And as always we went on a hike. #rosiecandids #schnauzer

Toying with the idea of an endless runner but can’t think of a way to make it different than every other endless runner. Besides not having 1000 ads. Which… is a differentiator there’s no doubt haha. But I wish I had a bigger idea.

The awards you get for the game are also really fun. For example, today I got the clean plate club award for using all the letters 5 times before the game ended (thanks to the word lull 😅).

Ryley @herringtonhq.com · 11/07/2026

I’ve been having a lot of fun with @hankgreen.bsky.social’s new games. 4x3 first. But smush is also really fun. Has spelling bee and boggle vibes. I secretly like it more than 4x3 but only because it takes longer. 4x3 would be fun as a 5x4 haha.

That someone could replicate the entire startup/app/idea with a single prompt.

Just an example of some of the maps. It works better in the city when you have cool buildings around but it’s a good start!

Ryley @herringtonhq.com · 23/06/2026

New map view with heart rate, elevation, isometric maps, all kinds of new goodies with UI. But it's real new, so there will be rough edges. But trying to update this again. #running #ios #testflight #indiedev testflight.apple.com/join/PWmx6eeg

I made a new app (first time in 3 years) and it would REALLY help me if you pre-ordered it (for free). What's My Set is a simple, accessibility set counter for workouts with accessibility as a priority. The handy rest/interval timers bump the set counter for you. apps.apple.com/us/app/whats...

Oh describe a shortcut is awesome. Love shortcuts so much. #wwdc

password1 is good for all websites. Don't worry about it.

Describe an extension in Safari is actually a really cool idea, and not just for people trying to buy a new hot drop shoe haha. #wwdc

I really just want an iPad on a big ol' speaker as the new home pod. Running tvOS variant would be cool too, says the tvOS guy. #wwdc

My dub dub fomo is real. I could be having an afternoon Philz right now with a bunch of other iOS folks. #wwdc

This whole lego Bricks and Minifigs thing is a crazy story. Stealing a bunch of legos is one thing, but also the American Fork/ SLC police part of the story is even crazier! I cannot understand this. I know I'm anti police but anyone can see this is beyond the pale. Great story, go watch/read it.

It is fairly fun to have this little clanker around my screen. I do want to customize it though... #codex just run /pet to get it.

I’d love it if the albums I listened to in middle and high school would stop putting out 20th anniversary editions. Stop making me aware of the passage of time.

Ryley @herringtonhq.com · 29/04/2026

I feel very old today. I have 2 different group chats where we talked about: 1) fiber intake (this is on me), I'm big into dense bean salads for protein + fiber now 2) skin care (we gotta wear sunscreen folks)

Ryley @herringtonhq.com · 19/04/2026

Ran a 10k after a morning t-ball game for Coop. Sushi for lunch and big family dinner tonight for my birthday. Can’t complain about any of this. 🎉

I know everyone is talking about Coachella but damn 2 in a row for McIlroy is so good. I love golf and someday I will go to the masters and have a pimento sandwich haha. I won’t be playing. But I will be saying “I could do this” with a solid 5 handicap.

If you haven’t watched Tip2Tip you’re missing out. Japan was good but China was incredible. Really hoping India is next. Or maybe something in South America. Imagine Chile but each night they have to be on a diff coast. But north to south of Patagonia in general would be cool. #ludwig #tip2tip
