BACK ISSUE! Magazine @backissuemagazine.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Sadly, Russ Heath had to rely on doing art commissions and on donations from @heroinitiative.bsky.social to survive in his later years. Roy Lichtenstein got four million dollars for blatantly stealing/swiping Heath's work -- Russ Heath got nothing. ...not even enough for a glass of wine.

Comic strip written and drawn by Russ Heath detailing his financial and medical problems late experienced late in life and how the Hero Initiative helped him in his time of need.

The strip was colored and lettered by Darwyn Cooke.
