Surgery update: Today I got to remove the bulky gauze cover from the surgery site (there are other covers on the wounds) Some of the glue found my armpit hair. I have discovered new levels of pain in pulling the gauze off and may have invented a new sound

It's amazing what happens when you eliminate one major stressor in you life. Since I lost my worst stressor, my blood pressure has finally gotten into the range my Dr. wants, I sleep better, I've been more focused. Imagine what we could do as a society if we focused on lowering stress.

8 weeks ago my mother passed and Stepdad asked us to leave the door between our parts of the house open so the cats could come up. Today, Wumpus finally let him scritch her ears. He's a very happy man right now.

I'm going to have surgery on my shoulder in a couple of weeks. In preparation, I've been practicing doing things one handed - left handed. Today's test was laundry. It didn't go well. I'll need to be sure all my clothes are clean BEFORE surgery
