As well as being essentially islamophobic

Absolutely. Learned I can happily ignore anything you say, as it's the same old shite, dressed up to sound intellectual. You?

oh yes you are! 🤣🤮

And we don't 'import' human beings. If you're going to use racist language I have no interest in debating. Banning immigration, or deciding asylum claims, or claiming that we need to do that based on tiny numbers of appalling crimes is racist, pure and simple, no matter how you dress it up.

Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Any actual evidence for that?
100
Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
But banning immigration entirely because of a crime committed by a miniature fraction (1 rape per 100,000 people for example) is about as stupid and counterproductive as banning cars because 'accidents'.

Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
And so has murder, rape and knife crime. The data doesn't show rates of 5x, more like 1.5-2.5x, which given that migrants are maybe 10-15% of the population means it would have gone down only slightly faster.

Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Yet crime, including violent crime, is down massively over the last 30 years, despite significant immigration, even in London which is one of the biggest destinations for immigrants.

Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Is the 3-5x per capita rate adjusted for age distribution?

What's happening in London? Being kept on the tarmac in a plane in Spain for over an hour now, and told it may be another 2 before we even take off! Only news is no London inbound traffic being allowed to take off.

Rupert is a lying piece of s, so this needs taking with a very large pinch of salt. A few months ago he thought some charity rowers were migrants off Lowestoft.

Yeah I recommend open debate as well, but where neither side 'debates' by inciting followers to murder the other. 🙄

X owner Elon Musk indicates he would prioritise political violence (assassination of pro-migration politicians is the common sense meaning) over violence against "invaders" (refugees, asylum seekers, maybe ethnic minorities generally) while endorsing call for violence (killing) against both groups

Yes, but significantly down on 2025, which for the month of July (and a lot of the year) is the top line.
000
Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 19/07/2026
Looking carefully, and given that at the start of this month last year there had been about 21,000 arrivals, I think the top line in July is the 2025 one. But it would be better to have used different colours!

Nobody really cares about this game. France in the final wouldn't be two down.

Many? Only if you're counting each parliamentary session, otherwise it's two, of which the current is the second. And Blair/ Brown had plenty of good reasons for not being able to roll back Thatcher's legacy, although they absolutely could have done more.

What about decimating legal immigration and destroying our universities so she can look good to people who hate her and Labour and will never vote for either no matter what she does? 🙄

Yeah thought there would be - here there's a 'block exemption' that allows them to own pubs and dictate what they sell.

Ian @hereinmymind.bsky.social · 08/07/2026
Do the big breweries or distributors own many bars? And restrict them to their own beers?

camra.org.uk/pubs/rose-cr... looks like an independent now, but that is typical of what pub companies do, until they run out of suckers!

CAMRA | Rose & Crown, Bath - Listed Historic Pub
Cosy, welcoming, local which has been a pub since 1840s. Refurbished in Jan 2016 and taken over by local pub company Banwell House, the pub now has a very smart and comfortable feeling about it. There...

They had a reasonable choice and they elected Farage. Who wants to stand again. The other parties aren't playing his stupid games. And lovely to think the public suddenly 'no longer' trusts politicians - the public has never trusted politicians, mostly because they don't understand politics!
