I'm hoping that the pain will reduce as everything heals, but even if it doesn't, it's still worth it to be free of chronic sinus pain! I don't want to get my hopes up TOO high, but I'm hoping that I'll feel a lot better after this is done 😁

And if course my insurance made it impossible to get them, so after waiting for weeks I threw in the towel and paid out of pocket 😵‍💫 I'm not thrilled with this process, but also extremely grateful that I should be feeling significantly better in a couple weeks!! What a journey this illness has been

not to mention it should be very treatable. The bad news is the antibiotics, which require application via nasal irrigation, burn with the fire of a thousand suns... And I have to do it twice a day for 6-8 weeks 💀💀💀

Well... The good news is I found one of the main underlying causes of my illness. Apparently I've been living my life with a chronic staph infection in my sinuses--and yes, that's every bit as miserable as it sounds. Thankfully, it looks like I'll be getting by with minimal long term tissue damage +

I know hydroponics might feel intimidating, but I add 1 tsp of liquid nutrients to a gallon of filtered water and that's it!

Hey if you like low maintenance lettuce, might I suggest Kratky-style hydroponics? You start the seeds in plain water, transfer them to a container of nutrient water, and that's it until harvest time. I grow mine in repurposed trash on the window sill.

Interesting, would you say the chisel is more important than the drill? I've got a hand saw and a drill and I certainly haven't made anything complicated, but you can make an unbelievable amount of stuff with those two tools. I'll have to figure out where to salvage wood 🤔

I was in the hospital today for routine labs, and it blows my mind that people don't mask in the hospital/ER 💀 I still mask in crowded indoor settings, public transit, and any event/space that brings travelers together. I don't like the weird looks either :(

Thank you! Honestly the character rendering goes pretty quickly since I've been drawing this style for some time, and it's just a series of render passes. The coral, on the other hand, took 4 tries to get right x.x

This is also an aggravating problem in nature documentaries lately. They dial up the foley so loud that I can't watch them anymore. No, we should not hear every single footstep of an insect 😭😭 We do not need to hear slimy, crunchy sounds while a frog eats a dragonfly. Directors, please stop 😭😭😭

I work on art projects in my head as well, although it's usually a mechanism to keep my brain from latching onto something distracting/distressing that keeps me from sleeping 😅 Apparently mental rehearsal is a valuable part of practicing skills though, so it's effort well-spent!

While I agree this needs more investigation, I wouldn't rule it out because of prediabetes. I would argue that diabetes is also a poorly understood umbrella term that is so broad and vague that people fall through the cracks all the time. It's an incredibly complex disease that gets blamed on diet.

TurboTax is such an ungodly combination of polished UI that obscures a labyrinthine UX. Few services stress me quite so much as TurboTax. Why did it take me 20 minutes of digging to get old tax returns? Why did I have to go through my Intuit account, which all sources say is a separate service?
