For 15 years I've been obsessed with receipt printers and the protocols that they speak. I created an open-source encoder that can run in the browser can create receipts and send them to the printer. That turned into a whole project that is now used by dozens of products: point-of-sale.dev

Not a fan of vibe coding, but Safari's new "Describe Extension" is shockingly useful. Normally publishing on the App Store costs $99/yr & sideloading on iOS is a pain. I "built" one that hides my LinkedIn feed so I stop wasting time on AI slop. 💀 support.apple.com/en-is/guide/...

If you asked engineers 5 years ago what the worst part of our job was, I think most people would say code review. Now, we review Claude's code, send it to someone else to review, and then we review their Claude's code, and all the sudden our whole job is literally the worst part lmao

💡 CSS Tip! After corner-shape, shape(), and border-shape, another feature is available to play with: rounding polygons. css-tip.com/rounded-shap... You create a polygon, add a radius value at the beginning, and you have a shape with rounded corners!

I've just release v6.0.0 of the web-vitals library. It includes support for measuring Web Vitals per soft navigation (like those used in SPAs) for supporting browsers (Chrome 151+) to give more accurate performance metrics for those sites. github.com/GoogleChrome...

My experience with agents is that it doesn't make my work "faster". In the end it costs roughly the same amount of time, if not longer But my role has shifted from "builder" to "sculptor", which is a completely different job. I hated it at the very beginning tbh, but I'm getting better at it slowly
