Facebook Memories (aka Social Media Radio 2) tells me that 14 years ago today I saw a young English couple playing Travel Scrabble™ between courses in a restaurant in Nice Full details in ALT text I guess you could say they were… (wait for it) enjoying “a night on the tiles”? 😆 *satisfied sigh*
It is a warm early summer evening in 2012 on Cours Saleya in the old town in Nice, France. A young couple dines at an outdoor restaurant, although the man is mostly out of shot. They are playing Travel Scrabble™ while they wait for their main courses to arrive. It is the woman’s turn. She holds the tile-holder (is there an official term for that? I don’t know) in her left hand and pensively peruses the letters. Her right index finger rests at the side of her chin in a classic ‘hmmmm…’ gesture. I do not know who won the game.
