Good first episode, tightly paced but doesn't feel like it's speeding at any point. Sweet Jesus it's just nice to have Black Clover look this good, with a good composition too. So much of the first season, even it looked good, didn't have a good comp.

The Elusive Samurai Season 2 Fun season with some really neat adaptational choices. Production wasn't quite as banger as season 1, but I can't fault them too much considering how hard this show is to adapt. I hope we get more...but I kinda doubt it.

Still playing Fire Emblem. So a lot of Fire Emblems give you a crutch character early on that you can lean on in dangerous moments. They tend to have bad stats over the long term tho. Cai's path doesn't do that. You get this guy pretty close out of the game and he's one of the best in the game.

Mao Neat little mix of shonen antics with a supernatural murder mystery. Manages to keep a lot of plates spinning without feeling convoluted with a better production than I initially expected.

I enjoyed Ghost Game for what it was, it's tough to make me dislike a weekly spooky themed show, but Beatbreak straight up blows it out of the water.

Digimon Beatbreak Damn good show. Really nice feeling when a long running show sticks the landing. Outside of one arc, the gift arc, I thought this was pretty consistently enjoyable. Gekkomon is a hero the people and will echo through eternity, ya know.

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Very cute little show buoyed by just how charming both leads are. Extended cast is largely just fine, tho the manager who is 100% down for any romance gossip is pretty good.

Putting aside that Silent Hill f did have a slight connection to previous entries, I'll just flatly say I think Silent Hill becoming this quasi horror anthology series is cool as shit. I'm totally fine with it branching out beyond the town.

Resident Evil 2026 Dang, that's a good movie. Lean with some genuine loving direction. Feels like Resident Evil 1, 3, and 7 sorta pushed together, but has enough identity to be its own thing. Do think the 3rd act maybe needed 10 more minutes, but still a good time.

Actually insane there are people who will gas up the Milla Jovovich Resident Evil movies. Outside of the sorta charming c- minus movie that the first one is, there's no redeeming qualities to those films.

Sad to hear that season 2 is up in the air. Was supposed to be 2 cour out of the gate, but they got the red light to continue on for now. Gotta hope we can see the rest adapted in the future.

Iron Wok Jan What an absolutely killer show. Jan, being an evil little devil disguised as a teen, is just so much fun to watch. Really neat to watch an adaptation that comments like directly on the work, and on how somethings in the cooking world have changed since then too.

Sprawl Zero Feel I am a bit more mixed on this one than most. Has some killer atmosphere, great soundtrack, and some neat guns. That said, the quarter of it feels a bit aimless in level design and combat design. The second half is where the game locks in, and the final quarter is really cool.

The Elusive Samurai was a series I consumed very passively, no that I disliked it, but I could never fully click with it. One thing the anime is building upon, that I always respected about it, is how wonderfully alien the main villain is.

No new Black Clover trailer today, but we did some staff interviews along with this genga for the opening. -Staff says they want to give some freedom to key animators -Says there will be some anime exclusive scenes, what exactly this entails remains to be seen

Looking forward to the new Fire Emblem, but I think it's kinda funny that there's basically four main characters, three of whom have deeply personal quests, and then there's Dietrich whose entire quest appears to be "Yo where the strong people at?" It's like if Goku was a Fire Emblem character.

Eight episodes into Kaiju Girl Caramelise and it has mostly used it kaiju elements to explore its themes and for comedy...but I do appreciate the moments where it actually goes hard. This scene while short, does feel effective in selling the transformation.

Metroid Dread was a game that while not perfect, 100% had the sauce. If Ravenous is just leaning further into that sauce, I'm there day 1.

One thing I hope for dlc-wise and I think is missing from the base game, is you should absolutely be able to hire on some separatist droids to your cause as the story progresses. Let me have these dudes on my team. These guys fuck.
