This is probably one of my most important threads I ever posted.

As a person who's been involved in communities where parasocial entanglement is the norm, and I greatly despise the element of dehumanization that it enables, so I made a few rules I always follow for interacting with creators I follow.

1, I don't know you, and you don't know me. If it's not a subject we have had in actual conversation about, anything I've heard, read, or seen in a video is at best rumor.
A person cannot express their full position on a point without the back and forth of a conversation, and being "on" forces distillation of more complex ideas into near caricature

2, We don't owe each other anything. When it comes to interactions outside of a persons work, If we get along and enjoy being around each other, then I'll take that as it comes. In that event It's to spend time getting to know *them* not their public persona.
I could go to any number of the billions hours of content if I want to be inundated by personas.

3, You are not a hero, icon, or subject of awe. You are a full complex complete person that is more than what I or anyone else knows or sees with good, bad, beautiful, and ugly parts just like me.
This is where people get lost in the sauce. Heroes and lolcows are not people, they are neutered projections of distilled mob intent, caricatures.
