I've started to hate coming on here BC I keep seeing all these takes on ethics and tech by other disabled people that have absolutely zero consideration of how things like expansive BANS on AI use or smart glasses use etc. Can impact disabled people that use those for accessibility

Random but I feel like there's insufficient discussion of the fact that a lot of ancestral trauma is caused by other ancestors not just colonizers. There's a lot of references to ancestral wisdom etc. in left leaning spaces not enough about ancestral violence and oppression

Also BC everyone seems to be trying DIFF platforms… Gather town is not accessible at all with the screen reader on mobile devices and many of us use mobile devices as our primary computing device for accessibility. It's actually the worst app I've tried to use with this screen reader

Accessibility also means that community spaces be discoverable. Word-of-mouth only spaces are not accessible to those of us who's disabilities make it difficult to make social connections. They provide community only for people who already have community.

On Tuesday, Scientific American was sold by international publisher Springer Nature. Large numbers of staff were immediately laid off, and salaries of remaining workers were cut by as much as 30% SciAm staff had just voted to unionize. We should call this action what it is – blatant union-busting.
