i've had multiple medication changes and started therapy (only took 22 years) and things seem to be improving now - i just needed some time away from social media in general because it was causing me /immense/ stress. kind of scary to be back bc it's been so long but i hope i can fit in again :')

yes hi i am still alive - the tl;dr is i had a complete crisis in july/august, uni started up again in september (it's dissertation time), and i'm currently preparing for surgery next month. been relying on food banks and the generosity of my friends, but i am ok and should be back properly soon

not really, that's not how it works here - it's geography based, you see the team for your area. i could ask to see my consultant next time instead of one of the specialty registrars who work under him, but i think the end outcome would likely be the same

i'm on three meds that work in combination, after nearly 15 years of trial and error, and honestly i'm scared. i don't really want to risk another life-ruining episode. but i'm paranoid and hardly sleeping and i suspect these are warning signs an episode may be on its way anyway 😵‍💫 rragghhhghhgh

i have a psych appointment tomorrow because my meds are just not doing their job anymore and i'm going to have to advocate for myself for once and i'm dreading it. something about making my opinions/needs known to doctors makes me so so uncomfortable and i'm not sure why
