I grew up a Coastie Brat. I was proud of the work my dad did with helping ice bound ships and navigation for fishers. Rescuing people. Occasionally, stopping drugs… things not the Coast Guard I remember. It’s so sad how far they are falling into the fascist police state…

I mean, they’re already running this country… so being next door wouldn’t be much different. Maybe we just help people before they get to the point of being in prison. Food, shelter, jobs, mental health services. I’m much more into preventative than reactive.

Putin wants to rebuild/take back the former USSR. He wants to take it back aggressively. NATO is responding to the aggression. I don’t support aggression from either side. It just keeps amping up on all sides. No one is trusting anyone else. The US is one of the biggest treaty breakers.
