thought i'd share my thoughts on coyote vs acme now that it's been out for a good bit

"Has anyone else seen Coyote vs ACME?"

digging this up but. i did, it was a very good movie

it was worth the watch even as someone with zero attachment to looney tunes. fantastic blend of live action and animation, fantastic execution of a crackhead concept

the whiteboy lawyer was like ok he was only okay but wile e is a funny motherfucker and you have the terror of foghorn leghorn backed by heel john cena

like most corporate movies it has a half-baked message it tries to make in there somewhere and its emotional moments often struggled to land with me

since it's a comedy you could excuse a lot of that but it makes you wonder why it's there. the only emotional bit that got me was near the end where roadrunner said he has been witness to wile e's suffering and despite everything considers him a friend

and i walked out of that movie theater just thinking "man that fucking coyote will chase the roadrunner until the end of time"

all in all it's not my favorite comedy movie (go watch hundreds of beavers if you haven't) but it outranks any of disney and pixar's output i've seen over the last decade

just got the awesomest thing ever... a kid on the street was offering to make free balloon animals and they made me a turtle :D

a green balloon animal turtle. it's comprised of six segments, being the shell, head, and four legs. the craft is impressive, the segments are all positioned where you'd expect them to be and there is a neat layering effect done with the shell's bottom half (below the scutes). the maker also drew on the scutes and a little smiley face in marker

also i shouldn't miss the opportunity to point out that the Walker Scobell sterotypical teenage boy bird is definitely based off of the bird from Tiny Wings from the head up. don't know how to feel about that

haven't talked about it much here, so here's a whole bunch of showcases of my progress on the tier list! a rundown of the categories i'm scoring levels in, some concepting of how things will be styled on the website, and an example infobox i've already put together

**Design** - Our double point category. What level elements are used and how? Do they make the most of the elements? For the full ten points, the level should demonstrate a mastery of the elements used and pull off some cool stuff with them.

**Atmosphere** - The most subjective category, this is all about vibes and auras. If a level can elicit some emotion by playing it, or even just by looking at it and hearing it, that's good atmosphere.

**Originality** - How similar is this level to others in this game? What about levels in different games? There are a lot of low scores in this category, so I usually won't bring up a low score unless it's a zero.

**Difficulty** - The level's difficulty in comparison with where it is placed in the game. If it's too easy that's a smaller detraction, but if it's too hard that's a bigger detraction, because this is a casual game meant for people new to platformers.

**Secrets** - Star Coins and secret exits, as well as optional content you don't need to see for 100% like coin rooms. Are they clever, enjoyable or meaningful, or do they only exist for the sake of it?

**Compatibility** - Only applicable to levels I've played in multiplayer before (just over a third of the levels). Does the level play as good in multiplayer as it does in singleplayer? The default score for this category is five stars, with a smaller detraction if it's worse in singleplayer, but a bigger detraction if it's worse in multiplayer.

**Boss** - Only applicable to towers, castles and airships. How cool is that boss, and do they put up a fight? With the exception of a certain final boss, all boss-related compliments and grievances will be reflected in this score, as they are often designed pretty separately from the rest of the levels they are a part of.
