CBC did a transposition of votes to show the results of a Calgary-Shaw election under the Boundary commission’s new electoral maps (yes plural). We don’t know what the official map looks like just yet but this helps illustrate how a big boundary change can change thjngs youtu.be/i9tpD8VNQrs?...

When Danielle Smith claimed 80% of federally picked judges had donated to Liberals, that was way higher than any figure I'd researched. I dug into it. Could confidently write here: "It is not true. The single media source Smith got that fact from has since corrected it." www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

CBC analysis suggests about one-fifth of federally named judges match with Liberal donor lists. About as many judges picked by the province likely gave to UCP.

Jason and I share this tradition. It’s become an important moment of reflection for my partner and I. Last year I was home in Ottawa. I took to a quiet part of my uncle’s home to listen and my brother joined me. We both cried thinking of our grandmother — a person who loved us into this moment.
