I've been reading it for a little while and it's so good, lots of technical detail but still very approachable, and the art is lovely too.
On elephants, last week I went to Exotic Zoo in Telford and they had some "Mammoth" bones supposidly from Java, 20,000 years old. Gotta be Asian elephant right?
