i wonder what kind of person i would be now if Yorshka, or the character whose assets she ended up repurposing, had had an actual storyline in DS3 (as seemingly originally intended) and i hadn't spent a decade feeling disappointed that one of Fromsoft's best designs (to me) went to waste

131

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

you would not believe how much time i spent trying to perfect this stupid 2-in-1 sword concept (only to end up not even using it)...

lmao out of everything *this* is what art of mine ends up on pinterest...?

at this point it might be more accurate to call "soul remains" my last hurrah...

they're revealing a surreal fantasy RPG starring a weird 7 ft tall dragon lady any moment now

sketch doing better than finished (to the best of my ability) art kind of stings...

sketch i miraculously managed a week ago

hey it's the thing my pfp is a reference to

130

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

the excuse i'd come up with for Ilistirgue to keep traveling through the plane was at some point she resolves to ask *everyone* how they'd rather the plane was, believing she can change it in such a way as to make them all happy

020

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

it's sad that the better i got at modding ffxiv the less invested i grew in it (it was more of a symptom rather than the cause, the story kind of lost me after 6.2... exactly 4 years ago tomorrow, jesus christ...)

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

ffxiv is my favourite platformer game

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

can't wait for datamining to unearth that she was Duskbloods' main (non-player) character during development until the literal last minute (i'm joking, there won't be any datamining)

162

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

seeing Duskbloods gameplay (the way the characters are straight up flying, specifically) makes me wonder if there actually was some truth to that "leak" that From are making an angel-themed game (that Guardian from Nightreign might also have been an allusion to)

oh, completely forgot there was supposed to be an eclipse...

i'd call this progress were it not for the fact i half-assed the dress so badly i don't think it'll rig well in the slightest...

can we please just [REDACTED] all billionaires already

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

every now and then i remember how squandered (i think) Dizzy GuiIty Gear feels relative to how cool she is conceptually and have to shake my head in disbelief...

110

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

it's messed up that like 90% of dragon girls in media are either from Arknights or that fuckass maid anime, neither of which pushes their designs beyond slapping a tail and horns onto otherwise average anime girls much, if at all

100

Diodia @astygiansump.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

relapsing (thinking about ffxiv modding again)

something that's basically impossible to prove in-universe (but that i'm confirming for the sake of conversation) is the fact the lemures are, subconsciously, actually the ones dictating the current state of the plane

i miss the character dynamics i was messing with in FFXIV... i'd need to flesh NN out so much more for them to hit remotely the same even if i were to try and transplant them...

You're a true paragon, Qsy... If anyone's seeing this, hello! i've gone by Dio, then Dia, online for over two decades, i'm an artist who, when not burned out (which is often these days, unfortunately), predominantly draws fantasy people and monsters and monster people

struggling to muster the passion for this i used to be able to (though it's never not felt insufficient) but i still like Ilistirgue's design a great deal
