As I continue to work doing more tasks akin with my entry level role 9 years ago, I cant help but not feel cynical given I have no loyalty for how long this position may last. High metrics and good standing I was still laid-off in a sweeping fashion, after all, with no say in the matter

I was brought back 6 weeks last spring after a lay-off, and im grateful for that. But coworkers weren't so lucky, and I'm reminded that the culture of modern work doesn't consider any factor of loyalty. I like what I do most days but, it's nothing that feels rewarding, nor educational

Ive spent much of the last 5 years with a tight idea of what I wanted and expanding my own parameters/expectations. Goals are great. Overfocus on such caused a lot of stress though. Sometimes, simply getting through is what the focus needs to be. So, I'm going to relearn to simply exist. 4/4
