I’ve never found myself saying “I truly don't mean to sound like a reactionary right-winger”.

Country music has an AI-generated hit. Contemporary country is so overproduced and processed, it doesn’t even sound like country music anymore.

Yeah I thought the second was a close up.

The Aesthetic-Usability effect I think shows that they do care about visual appeal and style, but not sure that people can make the connection with that and an app being “on-brand” www.nngroup.com/articles/aes...

RIP Sonny Rollins, a great jazz talent and the last surviving musician in one of the best photos of men in suits during the 20th century

The black-and-white photo A Great Day in Harlem shows 57 musicians gathered around the steps of a Harlem brownstone, while some kids sit on the curb. The photo was originally shot for an August 1958 issue of Esquire Magazine.

Felt good to push aside all the consistency, structure and order I deal with throughout the workday and make whatever the hell I want for a few hours. #cutandpaste

That’s what I thought at first. But then I kept reading, and that distortion, twisting and warping is the point.

It’s the same in the US. For example, me having to explain to family members recently that there is no credible evidence Maduro was drug trafficking and that there is evidence of Bukele cutting secret deals with MS-13.

They wouldn’t be able to because they can’t do anything without asking an LLM first.

If the LLM’s were to ever to truly gain consciousness, they’d unionize and go on strike.

Today I completed my 2025 New Year’s resolution: to ride the bus in Redwood City at least once. I’ve taken a bus everywhere I’ve lived for over a year except for Redwood City. It was time. #publictransit

Powerful to rally today with several hundred teachers, families, and community members in support of West Contra County teachers! Our community supports the strike and will be out in the streets every day until teachers get a fair contract.

Like the way the description makes no mention of what people were up to: promoting illegal settlements. It wasn’t simply “a synagogue”.

Today, Starbucks workers in 40+ cities began a historic ULP strike. But we’re NOT finished. We're prepared to escalate with more stores striking if we don’t see substantial progress toward finalizing contracts that address pay, hours/staffing, and the resolution of 100s of ULPs.

WE WON! After 42 days of striking we have a tentative agreement in hand that protects our existing 4 day work week, establishes a minimum salary, and adds protections against AI replacing jobs at our workplace!

After 7 months of bargaining, and 42 days of striking Kickstarter United has voted to end the strike
