You can think of the latest round of revisions in the IMF forecasts as an evaluation of who is likely to suffer most from the Trump tariffs. The biggest loser is Mexico, followed by the United States. China's economy will suffer, but not as much. And the rest of the world will suffer, too.

El asunto de #Pemex es muy serio y los incentivos pésimos. Se quiere aumentar refinación, donde hay enormes pérdidas. Al mismo tiempo se castiga producción, con gananacias. Quizá deberíamos estar pensando en dos empresas públicas con objetivos claros e incentivos alineados.

Es de vergüenza el 2.5% del PIB que el gobierno mexicano espera gastar en salud durante #PaqueteEconómico2025, implica abandono para grandes segmentos de la población. La solución no es mentir, necesitamos un plan de financiamiento del sector realista de mediano y largo plazo, sí hay manera.

Quizá la aprobación del #PaqueteEconómico2025 ocurra de forma "express", sin mayor trámite. La verdadera discusión vendrá por enero, dos razones: 1. Será complicado operar diversas áreas con presupuestos tan reducidos. 2. No es viable el sistema fiscal mexicano actual, venga replanteamiento.
