Currently watching: Ghost Light Still not over the racist remark in Battlefield. I’m enjoying this one though. I love a morally grey Doctor - one who will corrupt the story to go on the quest he wants to. This seems to be the blueprint for Matt Smith’s Doctor in many ways.

Some time ago, I started cross stitching all the Doctors. Now I’ve only got four more to go (depending on your own canon)! 🪡

Currently watching: The Greatest Show in the Galaxy They’ve really found their groove with the SFX shots - planets, spaceships and so on. The planet shot in ep one is lovely. Love the setting. It’s almost Vegas. A circus in the middle of a desolate land. Great place for a Doctor Who story!

Currently watching: Silver Nemesis I watched this a number of years ago so looking forward to diving into it again. Or am I? Time will tell.

Currently watching: The Happiness Patrol (first time) A society where superficial happiness is demanded and non-conformity is punished? Nah, this seems too far fetched for me… Fifi is adorable. The dialogue is very witty so far and this era’s knack for world building is the best for some time.

Currently watching: Remembrance of the Daleks Fuck me, I forgot how handsome Mike is.

Currently watching: Dragonfire (first time) I have seen bits of this one (the obvious ones) so looking forward to watching this properly. I’m getting The Long Game vibes - one five minutes in. But visuals only: towering structures above the atmosphere and an outer space market. Yay, it’s Glitz!

Currently watching: Delta and the Bannermen (first time) A Welshman named Burton? Groundbreaking. That being said, as a Welshman, I love hearing Welsh accents and voices in Doctor Who. I’m halfway through episode one and loving this set up. Visuals are great. It’s bonkers. Like, proper bonkers.

Currently watching: Paradise Towers (first time) I’m loving Sylvester’s Doctor already. So charismatic and just the injection of fun needed in the show at this point. The setting is really interesting and so many fun, camp characters. I think the robots are fabulous!

Views on this morning’s run down to Cardiff Bay and back (the long way round). And an exhausted me at the end of 12.5km.

I think I sweated out my entire body weight after this morning’s run. I’m ready for this heat to go away now.

About to start watching The Ultimate Foe. I’ve not been posting along with my watches for this season because I’ve been really staggered with my viewing of it, probably because I’ve seen this season a few times before. So, here are some very basic and hurried thoughts for the first three stories.

What a moment this was! Watching live was incredible. Shame I had to endure some football to do so but there we are.

Every pride month at least one person sends me this cartoon of @oldsixie.bsky.social at Pride. This year it was @thasceles.bsky.social. Always makes me smile. (credit in link)

A two panel comic. In panel 1 the sixth doctor and Peri are walking down a street, and a pride parade is happening next to them. The parade is very colourful with an array of pride flags and shirts. Various paraders are complimenting Sixie on his coat.

In the second panel Sixie is grinning, surrounded by flags and saying "i have found my people". Peri replies "doctor, this is a gay pride parade", and he says "exactly".

Currently watching: Revelation of the Daleks (first time) Loving the blue cloak! Loving the snowy setting. Loving Davros’ spinning head. I’m hating men lusting after Peri AGAIN.

Currently watching: Timelash (first time) Colin’s had a haircut! There’s a lot of word peril in this one so far. I can’t say I completely understand what’s going on but I’m having a pretty good time so far. It’s weird and wacky and Colin really does act for the back row in the part two cliffhanger.

Currently watching: The Two Doctors (first time) Ten minutes in and this is already bonkers. I feel overstimulated. I like that we’ve started the episode with Patrick Troughton. God, I miss him. Did nobody tell him that the globe props aren’t functional?

Bryan @heaven-bent.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

Currently watching: The Mark of the Rani (first time) The setting is a nice contrast to last week. I’m already concerned about the Doctor’s and Peri’s colourful outfits getting muddy.

Currently watching: Vengeance on Varos (first time) One minute in. Forget the setting - more shirtless men, please and thank you.

Currently watching: Attack of the Cybermen I forgot to say that I’m in a love/hate relationship with the Doctor’s outfit. He just said that he would never hurt Peri. He’s obviously suffering from memory loss. He was trying to kill her two hours ago.

Just watched: The Twin Dilemma This suffers from the Castrovalva syndrome in my opinion. It’s not a strong story to start a new Doctor’s era with. I was less bored with this one though. I’m aware there were some production issues which I’ll read up on some more. More thoughts incoming!

Currently watching: Resurrection of the Daleks I looooove the Dalek design in this. I don’t think they eye stalks have been great since the 60s but overall I think it’s the best they’ve looked in years

Frontios gets a 9/10 from me. Loved the visuals, the story was intriguing, pacing was pretty spot on and not everyone was dead at the end 🙃

It’s been bugging me since I watched it on the weekend but in The Five Doctors, is it me or does the Pi sequence in Rassilon’s Tower make no sense at all? Hurndall just walks in a straight line after the Master bounced like a kangaroo across the board
