fairytale requiem is a work that means a lot to me so seeing that its localization has been picked up by a company without a reputable track record is heartbreaking ngl

this is probably where i'm at rn with raising sims. need to finish off hanako games' output, and am understandably wary of princess maker given my experience with 2 but have heard latter entries are less. gestures vaguely. you Know

narrative also showed its hand a bit *too* early for my liking. as this particular form of raising sim matures comes a collective understanding of conventions, structural underpinnings with the potential for disruption but such a shift is made known less than two hours in. boooo

my fairy princess demo was fun but low-key pmo'd bc what do u mean it has -40+ untranslated lines (probably more idk) - some weirdly tl'd lines i struggled to parse - what is clearly an editor's note left in - unintentional pronoun shifting for an NPC - at least 6 different art styles - and more!!!

you know, dio *did* come to mind when i saw this character's pose initially, but thought 'a fluke, surely'... with this new training illustration, however, no doubt that association was the intention heh

for the act i saw, the producer's current major group headlined but she also had a solo set. as is custom for those solo ventures, she closed it out with a crowd-pleaser from a previous major group. as soon as the telltale claps kicked into gear my heart soared, but the room? for a moment, crickets

it's such a peculiar feeling, isn't it...! we're all here for the same group, presumably, so why are *we* the odd ones for choosing to live in the moment and have a good time? still can't quite make head or tails of it, but the most important thing is that we both had the time of our lives imo

i attended an idol event about a month ago, and though i had the distinct impression that not many attendees were familiar with the music, the excitement was palpable with joyous cheering throughout. seeing people in their anime shirts not caring about the above felt curiously reaffirming

seeing silence fall over charli xcx's reading set based on a smattering of grimace-inducing clips reminds me of how much concert culture is shifting one must always have their game face on while under observation in the social media panopticon. losing yourself in the moment is risky, it seems

one of the more mildly irritating aspects about Living in a Society(tm) is that it truly is impossible to completely disentangle oneself from their phone, this digital appendage all but melded onto our flesh though a dumb phone proves appealing, how does this resolve us needing authenticator apps?
