The US prison system is slavery. Modern day my ass, it’s slavery plain and simply. Prisoners are forces to work on plantation-type farms/manufacturing concerns. The SMALL COMPENSATION must then be uses at the prison commissary. I know some are criminals (some innocent) but they are still human.
