Tiny little call for I guess not action but suggestion? Some ten years ago I had a therapist who recommended a sleeping pill from Natrol called Sleep 'n Restore. Melatonin, valerian root, all natural and smells like ASS, but god damn did it change my life. They stopped making it last month. 🧵 1/4

It's pretty simple. I play FFXIV, an MMO, and I realized over the past year that I really enjoy healing (even though I'm not the best at it). And looking back to when I played Overwatch for a bit, my main was Zenyatta, a healer. Figured it was a cool enough sounding name.

Seasonal depression is a hell of a thing. I'm not even all that sad. I just... don't want to do things. Thankfully this hasn't effected my writing at all but unemployment is becoming an issue, which sucks, because, well... energy. But I'll figure it out soon enough.

Editorial tip: Read your book out loud to yourself. Our brains do a great job of telling us what we want to see, but when we read out loud, we're forced to see and hear what's actually on the page. If you want to work on prose, *READ OUT LOUD*. You'll hear all the lumpy bits your brain smooths out.

I wrote a short story a few years ago that was supposed to be the start of an ambitious project. Decided to go back and rewrite it as a standalone thing, and, man... it's so obvious I wrote it before I started taking ADHD meds. So many obvious little mistakes lmao Still good, though. #writing

My checker deck #Balatro run, told in two images.

The jokers, from left to right:
Pareidolia - All cards are considered face cards
Sock and Buskin - Retrigger all played face cards
Smiley face - Played face cards give +5 mult when scored
Wrathful Joker - Played cards with Spade suit give +3 mult when scored
Lusty Joker - Played cards with heart suit give +3 mult when scored
Walkie Talkie - Each played 10 or 4 gives +10 chips and +4 mult when scored

Pair all these with the checker deck (by default only spades and hearts in the deck) and this combo sets me up for some good hands.

I'm asking for some help paying the one bill I need to worry about this month, but I am otherwise OK for the moment. I'm looking at this as the first step into making money as a creative, not as some immediate cash flow.
