That thing when one of the authors who originally got you into fantasy all those years ago contacts you to see if you’ve got time for an edit. MY JOB IS SO FREAKING COOL.

I set a challenge to climb to the top of these stairs by the end of the year. Stairs are super hard for me due to my spine injury and hip dysplasia. I haven’t been able to manage more than about five stairs at a time until this year, and it’s taken a ton of work. Today, I climbed all of these!

Me, standing at the top of all those damn stairs.

I feel like I’m going to be working on this until hell freezes over. Regardless… MORE PROGRESS. From Romantic Country by Eriy. I’m using Polychromos pencils.

Dark chocolate raspberry New York cheesecake. I made the crust with graham crackers and mixed pecans and almonds that I toasted with a little maple syrup and cinnamon and a butterscotch syrup to bind it all together.

Ah, editing. Sometimes it hits me that my job is unique. Especially when I google things like, "How soon does a body start stinking after death?"

I'm trying to balance my writing and editing time a bit better (so I can make a bit more progress a bit quicker on some of my writing WIPs), and reader, I will tell you: it has been the best decision.

Friendly reminder to leave some water out in a shallow dish for your pollinator friends. Especially on these hot summer days. They work hard and get thirsty. 🐝

Processing some photos from my pollinator garden tonight. This is a high key photo for @princejvstin.com. Every night around sunset, I go outside and find bees sleeping on so many of my flowers. Here's one resting on my Alan's Pride coneflower that is still blooming. #bloomscrolling

I really get a kick out of it when authors throw Easter eggs into their manuscripts and I get to stumble upon them as I edit. Brought to you by the Easter egg I just found in the manuscript I'm editing.

I believe this is a mylitta crescent butterfly, but I’m sure someone can correct me. They are *all over* my pollinator garden along with an ever increasing number of swallowtail butterflies and these teeny tiny butterflies that are about the size of my pinkie. Anyway, here’s this one.

1272 more words written today. I'm nearing the 25k mark. Still enjoying the shit out of this weird book I'm writing. Today I decided that creating a map would help me visualize all the things, which is a first for me. I usually just keep it all in my brain but this book is requiring a bit more work.
