Published ANX005 trial results show the drug is safe, works as designed and may help people with Huntington’s disease - so what’s the holdup? en.hdbuzz.net/putting-it-i...
Trial drug to rein in runaway pruning is safe, so what’s next? HD can affect how well the immune system works within brain cells. Immune support cells called microglia “prune” unnecessary or damaged brain cell connections. But in people with HD, microglia can become overactive and “prune” (eliminate) useful connections. ANX005 (tanruprubart) aims to correct that immune system imbalance. The study showed the drug works as designed, has potential for benefit, and is safe. So what now?
