#AFM plus #AI is here. Say welcome to systems with autonomy level 5. TL; DR I show remote AFM operation by prompting my requests to #Claude instead of operating the system myself. This is not the future, it is happening now. youtu.be/lqVjFooYQEI?...

@mcescher.bsky.social proposed a microscope to be protrayed in banknotes, how cool is that?

Tomorrow I'll be presenting some MLAI Automated AFM (Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Automated Atomic Force Microscopy) in Zurich. So I thought, why not ask AI how it will look like? XD

This you can do when you have enough raw laser power. 💪

For those asking, the poster is a grass seed imaged with an #afm. The "trick" is attaching the seeds with double-sided tape and be gentle to not rock them while imaging. Dynamic mode imaging and a stiff probe to sense from far away. #hectorvstheafm www.instagram.com/p/DReLKq7DHK...

I wonder if anybody has been trying hobby electronics for nano or um accuracy interferometry???

#hectorvstheafm The first atomic force microscope ( #AFM ) used an #STM to detect the bending of the cantilever and in this way achieved atomic resolution on non conductive samples. #science is cool and #Lego is fun. www.instagram.com/reel/DNI3Ues...

Image competition at #FyT2025 is going quite strong. Very nice examples of AFM data.

This week I will join my SPECS Surface Nano Analysis GmbH colleagues at the Forces and tunnel #fyt2025 in Oviedo. As usual when I travel to Spain, I use the opportunity to shop for good books. #AFM #microscopy Agustina Asenjo José Miguel García-Martín Pedro A. Serena

Today is a special day. I'm training my sister to do AFM. We studied physics together (she is younger, but clever than me, so she got promoted one year ahead), but after that, we took diferent roads. Today these different paths in life merge a bit.

I will be at #MMC in Manchester with some #AFM stickers, first arrived, first served! Also, do you have pictures of the tweezers you regularly use? Do you mind sharing the pictures with me?

Scary how fast #AI improves nowadays. Soon #AFM will not be the same anymore.

Got a random chip of Aliexpress. No idea what I will find. A nice source of samples to do tests of #AFM imaging? Even a #fridayAFM?

I'm working hard on the presentation for this friday, hoping to inspire newcomers onto the world of #AFM, despite knowing that it is not the teacher who choses it's student, but the student who chouses it's teacher...

In 2 weeks I will entertain an audience in Zurich, and I want to highlight what key developments made AFM posible. I choose: the improvement in ceramic piezoelectric actuators in the 60s, and the introduction of FET-based op-amps in the 70s. Disagree?
