I just finished a rewatch of Far Beyond the Stars & as a black man I often wonder why Sisko wasnt made a Captain from the start. Something that plays into this ep about no one would accept a black captain perhaps? Or was it simply that he had no ship to command? There are numerous possibilities 👇🏽
