Day 5: Pikmin #pikmin #npiktober26

Black text on an off-white background with a light gray border surrounding it. The text reads:

The Pikmin would throw their lives away for him.

He knows this, of course. But he has always, always, always tried to keep it from happening. Each time it has — and there have been times; no one is perfect — has cut worse than a physical blow, ripped out a part of his heart and squeezed it in front of him, let the blood drip down onto the stones.

And the Pikmin still throw away their lives for him.

It must be a different kind of existence, he thinks. Some reason that it doesn’t feel like as much of a sacrifice for them. A worship of death, perhaps, or a single shared mind. It can’t possibly be any of the more romantic explanations — they can’t love him that much; he couldn’t even imagine it.

But the Pikmin do throw away their lives for him.

Olimar knows that he loves the Pikmin. Has known this, for a long time. It’s why it hurts when he fails them like that. To that extent. They’re like children, he thinks: their little glimmers of individuality are so, so beautiful. He can’t help but to want to tend those sparks.

The Pikmin would throw away their lives for him.

But Olimar will protect them, as much as he possibly can.

Watch me

A digital painting of Espeon.

In the living room around noon, a espeon sprawls across the laptop, demanding attention from the man using it. With the keyboard entirely underneath the espe, working is clearly out of the question. Well, I have work to do, but I suppose I'll just have to give her some playtime...

między światami ☀️🌙 between the worlds #art #digitalart #polishart #bird #birds

A digital drawing heavily based on traditional Polish paper cutting (wycinanka) depicting a kestrel in flight, composed of two halves so that it appears double-headed. The area in its chest is a heart-shaped negative space and small symbols of sun and moon are placed in it. A bright four pointed star is placed between the heads. The negative spaces ("cutouts") in the kestrel are filled with blue, light yellow and bright orange colors that look like some sort of fluid. The background is a pink and gold sky with some clouds, resembling a sunrise.

I couldn't decide between #npiktober26 and #Cringetober2026 so I'm doing both! Each drawing gets two prompts. I've been sick for like two week now so Day 1 is a bit late, but it's Captain + Isekai. And yes, the captain is a self-insert :3

Short two-pannel comic showing a pikmin OC laying on the ground, dazed and confused. The character has short hair and round glasses. He then shoots up quickly, nervous, and noticeably smaller than the grass and flowers behind him. He asks aloud "wait, where am I?!"
