I had no idea what she meant, but I felt my companions melt away, foiled in their favourite holiday sport of a row about bank notes somewhere in England. My joy at the absurdity of that folder will likely never abate. Kiddo loves her books

Took kiddo to a high street book store today to spend some birthday money. We walked in with three, crisp new £10 notes, Scottish notes that had been lovingly encased in cards by relatives and sent to us here in the far south. We browsed, she chose, I helped her choose better (😉)…

No kiddo pics (but trust me she was cute today) so here I am grinning maniacally with the cake I managed to bake and ice despite the heat. Kiddo’s wish to eat pavlova abandoned after the second attempt to make meringue failed. She ate these sprinkles only. Keeping me humble for three whole years.
