Wow! Just had an AI consultant (probably a bot) follow me! I've never had to Actually Block someone before! It was a New Experience!

So, I alluded to this earlier, and sharp-eyed followers will have noticed our matching icons, courtesy of @baphyjaws.bsky.social, but a little while ago he approached me in DMs. (Don't worry, this isn't a horror story.) And we hit it off, and he was like, "...listen, can I try some things with you?"

And, at long last, I can say all the guides for my bunny OC are done for now! Six four before the ears (a very tall boy), with private sections and eyes up to interpretation since those are the hardest bits. Feel free to draw him, though as always he is A) sleepy and B) completely confident.

Hartake Freesong @hartakefreesong.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I have been told I am terrible at explaining fur patterns, so I did up a little color-by-numbers guide for my OC. One is the base coat color--tawny to chestnut brown, salt and pepper white and black patches or spots representing middle-to advanced bunny age, while the ruff is white.

Color guide for Bunny Sona. Main body, rim of ear, and muzzle are marked 1, representing tawny-to-chestnut brown fur with salt and peppered white and black patches (he is an older bunny). Chest ruff and tail underside are marked two for white; which can also have pepperflecks though it's naturally white. Be creative with Salt and Pepper patterning: nothing is *wrong*, since the coat grows in and sheds regularly!

another day of stylus practice. gotta work on my foreshortening game again, my perspective's all off and weird... sigh...

Rough sketch of bunny sona in an armchair, running a leash from one hand taut to the other, winding it between the fingers and draping it down over the arm of the chair to a collar with a big pink heart tag on it

More sketchwork. I took some cues from a friend, but there's no substitute for experience (drawing privates).

Rough attempt of bunny sona lying on a cheap mattress, doing a finger beckon. He's very naked, penis out and everything. Floozy. Strumpet. Shameful!

Y'know, appropros of nothing, I wish I had the brain space for a second language. My neuroplasticity is way past gone, but there are so many sexy artists who are bi or trilingual or non-US english speakers.

Continued OC studies, doin' it in bits and parts one segment at a time

A brief overview of the arm and hand references, which are standard. Arms, like legs, are lean, muscular, and slightly fuzzy; combined with the hands they rest comfortably on the upper thigh when relaxed. The nails--normally not visible--extend to dull, pointy, rounded claws when not properly trimmed. Unlike the toes and foot structure the hands are human-ish because listen thumbs are HELPFUL okay

Jackrabbit sona notes Part five: SHOW FEET

A depiction and breakdown of OC's rabbit foot mechanics. The ankle is a full rounded joint instead of a flat up-and-down as is so often depicted, which is important; there are two major stances of standing; on balls of feet/tiptoe for walking akin to heels and flat-footed, for natural, full body jumps (considered less polite but more comfortable).

and the followup, on why I try to detail why the Fluff is such an issue:

Another image of the torso, this one with the central stripe and ruff shaded to hopefully increase conveyance, as well as examples of the ruff growing out. The upper center divots around the chin and nose when unchecked, leading to a heart shape.

more oc scribbles from brainstorming sessions, pt1

Descriptor of the chest portion of the jackrabbit's fur: Large, white ruff over the pectoral muscles inspired by Angora rabbits, which will grow out relentlessly and must be flocked or brushed out weekly or biweekly, lest it grow so much it becomes a Problem. This white fur trails down in a long stripe down the torso and across the groin to under the tail.

So an incredibly cute artist boy on here asked me out. He was the first one in like ten whole years? Which is a lot. And he has baggage, too--enough for an airport. But so do I, right? And so, um, while my OC will happily bounce your bunny till their body breaks and their mind crumbles, I'm taken?

An attempt to explain to a mutual follower why the ear binding is necessary.

A rough glance of just how Very Large the ears are (adding two and a half to three feet to a six foot four inch rabbit, which is scaled up from actual jackrabbits.) They are also strong and stiff enough enough to keep him from approaching walls or passing through doorframes. They are described here as towering above you and slapping the wall like a kabedon.

Trying to get used to my stylus again by scribbling in MS paint...

An examination of one of the basic facets of my planned jackrabbit OC: the ears. Roughly put, the ears should not be casual and up; they are so large they must be folded over and tucked behind the head and back with restraints (noise cancelling headphones and scrunchies or scarves or tied with ribbons, et cetera.) They add roughly three feet to a rabbit who is already six four, so he keeps them pinned down and neatly folded to avoid hitting them on doorframes or getting them brutalized by ceiling fans.

So the reason I had to put my digital art practice on pause recently? Discovered black mold in the ceiling of the bathroom I use. Not a lot, but it was under our washer, drier, and hot water heater. So we had to get all the insulation ripped out.

It's probably not a healthy sign that I want to strengthen my arms and knees to make it easier to fantasize about lifting a small partner into my arms and toss them about roughly. I mean, there are other, less sexy reasons, but that's a big one.

Like, the entire point of each trailer was to show the raw mayhem of the game. That was their selling point, their visual style, their fundamental alphabet--the wild energy of a doom-style shooter, in a lovingly hand-animated noir cartoon world. People who complain they GOT that weren't lookin'.

it's time to brew up controversy by having Opinions on the Internet: played Mouse, P.I. through and really deeply enjoyed it. I don't do boomer shooters, but the atmosphere and narrative got me. It features a Cartoon Mouse Detective with Guns. Did you expect Steinbeck?

Day six-ish of trying out digital art. I have such a long way to go to reach the level of artists that inspire me, but I try not to let that discourage me; time is the one thing I have in abundance. I try to learn one thing about krita and then incorporate it--this time, it was how to stylus-scroll.

So the other day, someone was describing a fantasy setting, and they mentioned the bestiary said: "We thought we killed all the orcs but it turns out they fuck like rabbits." Which got me irked and thinking. Do rabbits fuck like Orcs? What else gets weird if you invert it like that?
