I pulled up next to it at one point & the driver was seated a good 30cm higher than me in my sedan. Any head-on interaction between our two vehicles and I'm basically faceplanting into his radiator.

So this morning I found myself behind a left-hand drive 'evaluation vehicle' SUV being road tested, all the badges taped over. And it absolutely dwarfed the BYD Sealion directly ahead of it. Vehicle bloat is beyond a joke. We're giving out roads over to giant man-babies in their giant toys.

If you want zero digital exhaust (both in real time & stored in the ecu) it's pretty simple. Revert back to a 60s/70s vehicle, i.e. a pre-ecu, carburettored engine with zero electronics. But you'll give up all modern safety aids, active & passive. Choose your own adventure.

Yeah I get why this 4 Corners 'expose' on connected Chinese EVs might be a concern, but if you drive *any* car that's less than 10 years old, it's likely collecting telemetric data, as WIRED revealed years ago. European, Japanese, South Korean. It matters not. 🤷‍♂️
