The idea that people just collectively gave up on their civic duties because of some inherent moral failings is the silliest conservative trope in my opinion. I think it's tied to some deeply entrenched belief that the American system is so perfect it cannot fail, only be failed.

Trump has strengthened China, Iran, and Russia under his watch. Any one of those alone is a foreign policy disaster. Add to that his neutering of our soft power through his destruction of alliances and dismantling of USAID and this has to be the most destructive foreign policy regime ever.

What a wild ride in the comments. We went from "this guy is too stupid to do a simple task like mail merge" to "mail merges are too complex for an LLM to get right" and ended up right back at a bunch of dudes congratulating themselves for being able to do mail merges and list de-dupes themselves.

I don't think this guy realized that LLMs solved an actual problem here. This is a problem that has existed since the beginning of software. There are a lot of capabilities in software that are not worth the time to master for people who now can utilize those capabilities with natural language.
