med.stanford.edu/news/all-new... Is it possible that the scientist was like “My research shows that the brain has two origins” which is defensible here, and the media team was like “Got it. The Brain Is Two Separate Organs.” …this is a wild claim essentially challenging the definition of an organ.

Imagine publishing a cool and important paper in Nature Neurosci that could have important implications for treating CNS diseases, and then being like “Nope, not good enough for me. My research shows that the brain is two separate organs.”
