“The Dream” — watercolor, colored pencil, pastel and gold leaf on paper. A tribute to Alphonse Mucha’s Le Pater. One of the last illustrations I’ll share before returning to my project Labyrinthe. Context and position in the pinned post.

A luminous, dreamlike painting showing a nude figure kneeling on a mound of skeletons, facing a vast blue bison with golden eyes and horns. Gold leaf highlights the creature’s gaze and lightning-shaped cracks in the sky. Soft washes of blue, violet, and gold blend into an ethereal atmosphere. The scene evokes myth, death, and transcendence.

☁️ Sea of Melancholy ☁️ An illustration that might allow me to explore a new project. I don't know if it will last 1 month, 1 year or years. But I want to listen to the songs of these faded and forgotten worlds. ✶♡✶ #art #surrealism
